This delightful Pinot Gris is from Spitz & Fils, a 5 generation wine making family. This wine is golden yellow with copper highlights. It has a floral nose with honey and wood. The wine is well structured and balanced. The nose carries through on the palate with stone fruit and honey, with a long saline finish. It has medium acidity and lots of freshness. These grapes are grown on a hillside with sandy terroir. The wine is fermented for 1 month, and aged on the lees in a tank for 4 more months. It pairs well with almost anything, but in particular, shellfish, scallops, white meat and pork. is 12.5% ABV.

This lovely pinot gris paired perfectly with our Thanksgiving ham. It was nice and light, yet flavorful with our heavy meal. It was a big hit – I definitely recommend and will buy again!
